One of the two main tiers Two Fold is founded on is environmental consciousness. With every decision made and step I take, this principle is in the back of my mind. When creating clothing, there is always quite a bit of extra scraps that accumulates because the patterns aren't perfect squares and there is always room between the pieces. As the weeks and months went on, I found myself with an abundance of scraps and wasn't sure what to do with them. One day I decided to go through them and see what all we had. I found a handful of larger pieces just barely too small to make any of the current pieces. I decided I wanted to make something out of them. Instead of simply being thrown away, these scraps could be used to make something someone could cherish for years to come.
I knew whatever was going to be made out of these "scraps" had to be small enough to fit the fabric we had. With it being around 100 degrees here in North Carolina the past few weeks, I was dreaming of wearing nothing but the simplest, coolest pieces. Tanks, exposed back wraps, and easy summer dresses. The silhouettes were kept mostly simple and boxy with a change in the neckline and details. These pieces are one-of-a-kind (except the basic tank in silk, there's two) and meant to go on every summer adventure.
