Flora + Form Skirt
Flora + Form Skirt
This item is one of a kind and will ship within the week.
The Joana skirt was born out of need for a feminine, yet utilitarian bottom piece different from the many pants and shorts we already offer. I felt like there was a hole in the wardrobe we’ve been creating for the last few seasons. With it’s classic, a-line silhouette, it has a vintage spirit while feeling fresh and reimagined. Added side seam pockets make this style an even more functional design, and the 2” waistband adds comfort and support around the waist. Easily dressed up with a wrap top and heels for a nice evening out, or dressed down with a tee and sneakers for a day running around town.
Linen is one of the most durable fibers around. Linen is made from the stalk of the flax plant and is one of the oldest cultivated plants in human history. Unless the weather is particularly warm and dry, flax requires little watering or attention during the harvesting period. Flax is extremely strong and increases strength about 10% when wet making it very durable for wearing for years to come! It has a natural worn-in look, but can be ironed for a clean, crisp finish. This particular linen is heavier in weight than your average linen fabric and is great for year-round wear.
We worked with artist Danielle Romero of Flora + Form to create the beautiful pattern painted on the fabric used to make this top. Danielle hand-painted the nearly 25 yards of fabric with a “bloom” pattern with machine safe fabric paint. To learn more about this collaboration and the artist, Danielle, see her interview here.
